Ingredients

Adjust Servings
2 cups vermicelli/ ready-made semiya
2 tsp ghee
1 ½ cup milk
1 tin condensed milk
1 ½ tsp cardamom powder
10 chopped cashew nuts
10 chopped raisins
½ cup sugar

Directions

1.

Press the Sauté button and wait for 30 seconds to pre-heat.

Add ghee. Once it melts, add the chopped cashew nuts and raisins. Give it a good stir.

Add the roasted vermicelli/semiya. Add sugar, and keep stirring for 1 minute.

Add milk, while stirring for 1 minute. Add the condensed milk and continue stirring.

5.

Close lid firmly. Place the pointer in Close Position; pressure release button should be in Down Position.

6.

Select the “Gravy/Curry” mode.

7.

Pre-Cooking will happen for a few minutes and once completed, it will automatically switch to the cooking mode.

Once complete, wait for 10 mins to get natural pressure release. It can be released manually by pulling up the pressure release button.

Open the lid, switch to Sauté mode. Give it a stir and garnish with cardamom powder. Stir the payasam and close the lid for 2 minutes.

10.

After 2 minutes, open the lid and serve. Add some milk to lighten the consistency of the payasam if required.
