Lebanese Chicken Shawarma

Ingredients

Adjust Servings
1kg chicken breast (cut into small pieces)
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp ground cumin powder
1 tbsp ground cardamon powder
1 tsp ground cayenne pepper or Cajun Powder
2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp salt
2 tsp Black pepper
3 tbsp olive oil
1 Squeezed Lime or lemon
For Yoghurt Dip - 1 cup yoghurt, 1 clove garlic crushed, 1 tsp cumin, Squeeze of lemon juice, Salt and pepper.
To Serve - Lebanese or pita bread, Sliced lettuce (cos or iceberg), Tomato slices, Red onion finely sliced, Cheese shredded (optional), hot sauce of choice (optional)

Directions

1.

Combine all the ingredients and marinade the chicken (min 4 hours)

Add marinated chicken into inner pot, and choose the “Chicken“ mode

Once cooking cycle is over, remove the Chicken and shred the chicken in a bowl, using folk or fingers.

Keep the gravy in the pot, and turn on Saute mode, so the gravy becomes more thick.

Add the shredded chicken back in the pot, and give it a good mix.

6.

To serve: Place the chicken on the flatbread and add lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese & hot sauce. Roll up, dip into Yoghurt sauce and enjoy!
