Gaajar Ka Halwa (Carrot Halwa)

Ingredients

Adjust Servings
12 carrots, grated
10 tsp ghee
1 & ¾ cups milk
1 tin condensed milk
2 tsp cardamom powder
10 chopped cashew nuts
8 chopped almonds
½ cup sugar
10 pistachios chopped (optional)

Directions

1.

Press the Sauté button in front dashboard and wait for 30 seconds for the inner cooking pot to heat up.

Add ghee and once it melts, add the chopped cashew nuts and almonds. Give it a good stir.

Add the grated carrots. Keep stirring till the carrots are mixed well in the ghee.

Add sugar and mix well for 1 minute, then add milk and keep stirring for 1 minute. Add condensed milk to the above mixture.

Place the lid over the top. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and pressure release button should be on sealing position.

Choose the “Manual” Pre-set mode for 5-7 minutes.

Pre-Cooking will happen for a few minutes and once completed, it will automatically switch to the cooking mode.

Once complete, wait for 10 minutes to get natural pressure release. It can be released manually by pulling up the pressure release button.

Once cooking cycle is over, Open the lid, switch to Sauté mode. Give it a stir and add Cardamom powder and garnish with Pistachios. Stir the Halwa and close the lid for 2 minutes.

After 2 minutes, open the lid.
